Leading the way in Asia, Africa and the Middle East
Since 1880 in Japan
Standard Chartered Bank Japan celebrates more than 130 years of business since the first branch was established in Yokohama in 1880. We have two branch offices including the head office located in the Sanno Park Tower in Chiyoda-ku and a Consumer Banking branch in the Marunouchi district of Tokyo. With approximately 270 employees, we offer a comprehensive range of sophisticated financial services and products.
Our integrated commercial banking solutions range from Wholesale Banking, Custody and Clearing, and Treasury Services to top-class Transaction Banking services including Cash Management, Trade Finance and Capital Markets. Our commercial banking clients include Japanese corporations, financial institutions and multi-national companies based in Japan which invest with a focus in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The Right Partner
We also strive to be "The Right Partner" to our individual customers. Through our unique Priority Banking Service in Marunouchi branch, we provide detailed and customised asset management plans that cater to the needs of each individual.
In December 2008, we officially completed all necessary legal processes related to the business transfer from American Express Bank, adding more power, reach, and scope to Standard Chartered Bank’s wholesale banking offering for financial institutions.
